12 of 12 de Janvier 2010

Ouf! Je suis vannée.

I was saying up there, that I have been very very busy these days, and I found few minutes in my agenda to do my 12 of 12. I woke up very early to have the time to accomplish my many tasks of the day. Well... this is approximately what I was saying... sort of...

This is my view, on the second floor. It was such a lovely day, that I could'nt resign myself to work, work, work all day without going outside. So I planned to reach this montain on the left (wich is about 5 minutes from home, but hey, I'm busy!)

Photo 2 : 14:02

Before going anywhere, I have to save the planet. So don't worry, I am taking care of it by doing my own compost. Don't you feel relieved?

Photo 3 : 14:16

I grabbed few things to "rentabilized" my trip, so I will not have the feeling of wasting my time. My precious time. I have a letter to put in the mail box, few books to return to the public library, and... my skates. Well, apparently, "anima sana in corpore sano".

Photo 4 : 14:19

Bon... besoin d'un commentaire?

Et hop, first task checked!

Photo 5 : 14:25

Hmmm?

Second task checked! And I'm getting closer to my goal! Do you see it, by the window? No?

Photo 6 : 14:25

Non? Attendez...

There! The skating-rinks!  But they're not really what I'm looking for. A bit further, closer to the montain is where I am going.

Photo 7 : 15:17

Allez hop, cascade!

Et voilà! Skating in the forest is what I prefer. They did that, few years ago, and they keep on adding more trails every year. I'm not what we could call: a sportive person. I hate skating on lakes, and even more turning on those rinks! But here, in the wood, it is really nice and fun.

Photo 8 : 15:18

Hé,Hé,Hé! Wouh! J'suis bonne, hein? Vancouver, j'arrive!

I had to take a picture, so my man will believe me when I'll tell him I went skating!

Photo 9 : 15:49

Non, ce n'est pas de la neige!

No, this isn't snow!

Photo 10 : 15:49

Bubble bath. Is'nt it nice, after such a sportive performance!

Photo 11 : 17:25

I am searching for a new job, and I'm perfecting my skills with tutorials on Word, Excel and PowerPoint to be ready for those aptitude tests.

Wouah! Je me suis bien bidonnée.

A La-Z Boy moment watching a special program about André-Philippe Gagnon and Stéphane Laporte. Gagnon is incredible! So funny!

While I'm confortably installed in my house, in my wonderful village in this marvelous contry showing pictures of how beautiful was this day, PAF!
All my thoughts are going to the people in Haïti and their relatives and friends here in Canada and all over the planet.

  1. glad to finally see what you're always referring to when you say you're going skating in the woods. lovely!!
    nice touch with #13.
    keeping it real.
    we are indeed privileged,
    despite our complaining...
    haitians have it hard,
    in every way.
their economy, their politics, and now...this.
as if misery had elected permanent residence in this country.
my heart goes out to them too.

  2. Superbes photos !

  3. @ Ticklebear: Yep! I went to bed wondering: what is the "real life"? Mine or theirs?

  5. OMG! Skating in the woods. I am afraid to ice skate. I can roller-skate/blade till the cows come home, but ice scares me. Strange, I know.

Looks like you had a fun day. Best of luck on the job search!

    Happy New Year!

  6. I would love to ice skate, but I've worked out it's not a talent I have. I have many talents, but skating is far, FAR from the list! I wish I could, and could skate on the beautiful trails like you have!

Sorry I've not commented yet - crazy time with work and moving flats!

  7. @ Jill: Thank you for your comment!
For me, it is the opposite of you... I'm scared to fall down when roller skating! At least, in winter, I have more clothing to protect me if I ever fall!

@ Dogeared: Ha,ha,ha! Same for me! Skating is really not a natural thing for me! But I LOVE beeing in the woods. So it is a good occasion for me to move a little bit!
But I can tell for sure that photography is one of your major talents!
